About Abby Rivers Hand
Abby Rivers Hand was a caring daughter, granddaughter, niece, and friend to many. She left this world on November 25, 2023. She was born on December 8, 2002, to Lawren Hand and Brook Crumley Hand. After graduating from Berrien High School in 2021, she continued her education at Abraham Baldwin College (ABAC) and was planning to continue at Valdosta State University for the winter 2024 semester. She was a member of Sigma Alpha sorority at ABAC, and she enjoyed the friendship of her sorority sisters. Abby had a profound love for pets and animals, and she enjoyed gardening, crafts, projects antiquing and many trips to Fernandina Beach Florida. Above all she loved God and her family and attended worship at First Baptist Church in Tifton.
The Abby Hand Scholarship Fund is a living testament to her enduring legacy, ensuring that her impact will extend far beyond the years we had the privilege of sharing with her.
The Abby Hand Scholarship Fund will be dedicated to supporting aspiring educators, individuals who, like Abby, have a passion for nurturing young minds and shaping the future. Through this fund, Abby's light will continue to shine brightly, inspiring and empowering a new generation of teachers who carry the torch of her curiosity, education, and, above all, love for others.
